Located on the shores of Lake Nicaragua - one of the best wind resources in the Americas -the second phase of the Amayo Wind Project adds 23.1 MW of additional capacity to the existing 39.9 MW grid-connected, wind farm. The renewable power plant considerably increases electricity supply in a country where there is a severe energy deficit that leads to rolling blackouts throughout the country.
